Steelcase Health, Attainia Expand Collaboration to Simplify Healthcare Capital Planning Process for Clinical and Administrative Spaces
Steelcase Health’s new design templates make it easier for healthcare architectural firms and hospitals to specify and plan products for medical construction projects
Grand Rapids, MI – (May 18, 2015) – Steelcase® Health and Attainia, a supplier of capital equipment management systems, have expanded their partnership to offer Attainia’s healthcare customers exclusive access to Steelcase Health’s room design templates. As hospitals and health systems rethink how their built environment can enhance patient experiences and clinician productivity, Steelcase Health and Attainia’s new joint offering gives them an important decision-making tool.
The available room design templates powered by Revit® building design software provide research-driven best practices and computer-aided design drawings for exam rooms, patient rooms, waiting spaces, workspaces for clinicians, oncology treatment spaces and administrative spaces. Attainia’s innovative software solutions are currently used by healthcare architectural and planning firms, as well as medical equipment planners, major hospital purchasing groups, integrated delivery networks and individual healthcare facilities to manage complex capital equipment planning.
“The power of the built environment has been largely untapped by the healthcare industry, and through our work and this expanded partnership with Attainia, we are rapidly changing that,” says Rob Heitmeier, General Manager of Steelcase Health. “Access to this tool will help Attainia customers properly plan their new healthcare spaces, provide a more accurate equipment plan and help accelerate a project’s completion.”
These contemporary product applications and templates, based on Steelcase Health’s 18 studies and over 15,000 hours of observational research with leading healthcare organizations, are fully housed within Attainia’s equipment planning catalog. This new content includes full room application list pricing, detailed descriptions, optional configurations, supporting documentation and direct connections to Steelcase Health resources.
“This partnership with Steelcase Health helps us respond to the needs of healthcare providers, facility administrators and their architectural consultants as they begin the early stages of product selection and space design,” said Anil Singhal, MD, Vice President of Supply Chain Services. “This information also facilitates accurate project planning, which will ultimately reduce an organization’s costs and simplify the process toward identifying and ordering necessary equipment.”
