FORWARD Fellows Challenged with Wicked Design Problem

How might we design environments that optimize the combined capabilities of humans and machines? This is the central question FORWARD fellows are exploring. Supported by Steelcase and the Savannah College of Art and Design, the FORWARD fellowship invited emerging design leaders from the Americas and Europe to Italy. There, they were exposed to a variety of design thinking methods, research on artificial intelligence and new ways of working before embarking on a nearly year-long quest to figure out how space can help solve a wicked problem.
